Objects

The Objects tab shows the list of the company's monitored objects and is used to watch their current state and location in real time. The card of the selected object is shown below the list.

Searching for objects

The "Find by name" box filters the list as you type. The search type is selected in the drop-down list to the right of the box:

  • By name — by the object name;
  • By IMEI/ID — by the device identifier;
  • By phone number — by the object's "Phone №" and "Reserve phone №" fields;
  • By device type — by the equipment model;
  • By custom fields — by the names and values of the object's custom fields.

Several comma-separated values, exclusions ("!") and masks ("*", "?") are supported — see Searching in lists.

Below the search box is the groups drop-down list: in it you can tick the groups whose objects should stay in the list.

  • Several groups can be ticked at once; the "All" item clears the group selection.
  • The number of the group's objects is shown next to each group.
  • The "Group search" box filters the list of groups and understands the same syntax as the object search.
  • The ⋮ button of a group opens a menu with the "Select" item — the same as clicking the group.

Objects outside the selected groups are not only hidden from the list but also switched off — they disappear from the map. When grouping is on (see below), the groups list is hidden — the objects are already arranged by groups.

Toolbar above the list

The checkbox at the start of the toolbar ticks or clears all objects left in the list after the search and filters — on all pages, not only the current one. The checkbox is ticked if at least one of these objects is switched on. The other buttons are toggles, each one is switched on and off by pressing it again:

IconAction
sortingSorting order — when on, the list is sorted alphabetically (A→Z); when off, objects are shown unsorted
groupingGrouping — show objects arranged by groups instead of a single list
hide unselectedHide unselected — keep only the ticked objects in the list
onlineShow only online devices — objects that are currently connected to the server or are in sleep mode
alarmsShow only devices with alarms — objects with active alarms
parkedShow only parked devices — objects that are not moving
movingShow only moving devices — objects in motion

The state filters combine with each other and with the search. Objects that have no position data yet are not hidden by the state filters.

When grouping is on, each group of objects has a header:

Objects arranged by groups

  • the button on the left collapses and expands the group; clicking the header does the same;
  • the checkbox shows or hides on the map all objects of the group that are visible in the list with the search and filters applied;
  • in brackets — the number of these visible objects, followed by the group name.

Groups with no objects left after the search and filters are not shown. An object that belongs to several groups is shown in each of them. Objects that do not belong to any group are collected in the last group, "Ungrouped objects".

The list state — sorting, grouping, filters, selected groups, collapsed groups, cleared ticks and the selected object — is remembered in this browser. On another computer or in another browser the list opens with the default settings.

Object row

Each row of the list contains:

  • a checkbox — turns on the display of the object on the map and watching it; objects without a tick are not shown on the map;
  • the object icon and name;
  • below the name — the geozone the object is currently in, or "Loading" or "No data" while the data has not been received yet. This line is filled only for ticked objects. Only geozones of up to 20 km² are taken into account; if the object is inside several of them, the smallest one is shown;
  • status indicators (see below);
  • the ⋮ button — opens the context menu.

Clicking a row selects the object: its card opens below the list.

Object status indicators

Up to three icons are shown to the right of the name. Hovering the mouse pointer over an icon shows a tooltip with its meaning.

Connection to the server:

IconMeaning
onlineOnline — the object is connected to the server
offlineOffline — the object is not connected to the server
online, alarm offline, alarmthe same, but the object has an active alarm; the tooltip is the same as without an alarm

Positioning — the icon is shown only if the coordinates were not obtained from satellites:

IconMeaning
by networkPosition is fixed using mobile network (by cell towers, LBS)
not fixedPosition is not fixed

Motion and state — for ordinary objects:

IconMeaning
parkingParking — the object is standing right now (speed below 3 km/h). This is the current state, not the parking from reports, which is determined by a radius and a minimum duration
engine runningthe object is standing with the engine running (if the object has an ignition sensor); the tooltip says "Parking"
up to 20 up to 60 up to 100 from 100the object is moving; the icon depends on the speed: up to 20, up to 60, up to 100 and from 100 km/h. The tooltip shows the current speed

For some object types another icon is shown instead of the motion icon:

IconMeaning
armed disarmedsecurity objects — Armed / Disarmed
chargepersonal trackers with a battery charge sensor in percent — battery level; the tooltip shows the charge in percent
fuelgenerators and tanks with a fuel level sensor — fuel level; the tooltip shows the current value

If the object lacks the required sensor, the usual parking or motion icon is shown.

The set of icons depends on the object type and on the sensors configured for it (see Objects in the Control panel).

Object context menu

The menu is opened with the ⋮ button in the object row:

Object context menu

  • Show on the map — center the map on the object and zoom in. The object is not selected — to open its card, click the row;
  • Send command to device — run a command (photo, engine blocking, changing settings, etc.); the set of commands depends on the equipment;
  • Show photos from device — open the pictures from the connected camera;
  • Edit — open the object settings (see Objects in the Control panel);
  • Synchronize keys — update the object's keys and tags. For a user with the edit right, the item is shown only for objects of the Gas station type.

The menu content depends on the user's rights:

  • Send command to device is not shown if the user is not allowed to send commands to this object;
  • Edit and Synchronize keys are visible but disabled if the user has no right to edit objects; if the right exists but does not cover this object, the items are not in the menu.

Quick action buttons

Above the card of the selected object there are buttons:

IconAction
on the mapShow on the map — center the map on the object
photosShow photos from device
commandSend command to device

The buttons are always visible, regardless of the user's rights to the object.

Object card

When an object is selected, its card with the latest data is shown below the list:

Object card

  • the object icon, name and comment;
  • Time of the last message;
  • Address — determined from the coordinates;
  • Coordinates;
  • Speed — the row is hidden if the object has its own speed sensor configured: the speed is then shown among the sensor readings;
  • Satellites — the number of satellites in the last message;
  • readings of the object's sensors (ignition, supply voltage, fuel level, temperature, etc.) — the set depends on the equipment and the object settings;
  • Odometer — if the object has no separate odometer sensor (otherwise the mileage is shown among the sensor readings) — and Engine time in hours, if they are kept for the object;
  • Driver — the driver who applied a key last (if the object is equipped with a key reader). If the key is not linked to a driver, the key name is shown; if the key is not in the directory, the row is absent.

The card is updated automatically as new data arrives.

List navigation

The list is split into pages of 250 rows; with grouping on, group headers count as rows too. If there are more than 250 rows, page navigation appears at the bottom of the panel.
